Our Vision
The Ruckus Group, LLC was founded with a vision to change the dynamic in the way we work together before, during, and after crisis events. To enable collaboration, interoperability, resiliency, and security through the application and use of diverse communications and information technologies.
My Story
My journey in communications began just three months prior to 9/11 where I worked alongside public safety to design, develop, and adopt emerging technologies focused on tactical interoperability, mobile data systems, and geospatial technologies. My experience in emergency and disaster operations began April 16, 2007 where I led our company's response and support to first responders and families impacted by the Virginia Tech active shooter incident.
In 2011, I assumed a position leading Emergency Response operations at Sprint where I served in both incident command and field operations capacities across 160 planned and unplanned emergency and public safety driven events.
Today, when I am not responding to crisis events, my time is dedicated to assisting all levels of government, tribal entities, nonprofit organizations, and private industry address challenges associated with critical infrastructure protection, domestic preparedness, community resilience, and strategic information sharing.
My Passion
While much has been done to improve how we communicate culturally and technologically, there is still much work to be done.
My passion is to serve with those who serve and empower those who are in need, to enable collaboration, to improve the way we understand and react to the world, and to drive positive change through technological innovation.
